Angel Locsin Latest News: ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya auctions a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle pre-owned by Angel Locsin. The actress donated it to help rebuild schools in typhoon Yolanda-stricken areas.

According to Manila Bulletin, the bidding has has already reached ₱1.7 million. The online auction kicked off on April 21 with bidding started at ₱1 million, via Sagip Kapamilya's eBay account. It will end on May 1.

As of April 23, which also marks Locsin's 29th birthday, the vintage car had received 19 bid amounts from eight unique bidders, report says.

According to top gear, 100% of the proceeds will be used to fund the rebuilding of schools in areas hit by the super typhoon. The non-SS Chevelle has a 454 CID V8 big-block engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Locsin's vehicle had been imported from San Francisco, California in 2011.

In a previous interview in "Kris TV," Angel said that she has always dreamed of owning a vintage Chevelle car so she went to the US and purchased one.

Sagip Kapamilya program head Jun Dungo said in a statement published in an ABS-CBN News report,"Angel really loved this muscle car... She saw the victims of typhoon 'Yolanda' and she donated her Chevelle for the love of our kababayans and kapamilyas."

The Legal Wife actress initially donated the car as an anonymous donor. But Sagip Kapamilya head Tina Monson Palma said the car was given by Locsin.
