The "How I Met Your Mother" spin off is continuously getting developments for its cast.
Recently, The Wrap reported that the spin off will not be directed by "How I Met Your Mother" director Pam Fryman while a confirmed cast member was dropped from the project entirely.
Krysta Rodriguez, who played Ana Vargas on "Smash," was to play Juliet, who runs a fashion blog, but the role has reportedly changed since the table read.
Confirmed cast members of the "How I Met Your Mother" spin off include Greta Gerwig, Drew Tarver, Nick D'Agosto and Andrew Santino.
For those who don't know, the pilot of "How I Met Your Dad" will be based on how Sally (Gerwig's character) realizes that her marriage is on the verge of falling apart.
People Magazine has reported that Meg Ryan has now been cast as the voice of future Sally.
Her role as narrator has been keeping fans excited because the "When Harry Met Sally" actress hasn't had any major film or TV roles in six years.
The 52-year-old actress has had a several cameos in the Showtime series "Web Therapy," but has been focusing more on her 9-year-old daughter, Daisy, as well as her life in New York with boyfriend John Mellencamp.
"HIMYM" fans really don't know what to expect when it comes to the spin off.
Although creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas will still be a part of the new CBS project, there is fear that the series will be a let down, even if it does end up getting picked up by the network.
In an interview with Vulture, lead Great Gerwig stated, "When the premise of the show is that it's a young man looking for his true love, it's a very different feeling than a young women looking for her true love."
She added, "But I'm so nervous about it I have trouble talking about it. I just want it to really exist. And it would shoot here in New York, which would be really special."
