Long-time actress Jodie Foster is already off the hook. She tied the knot with her actress-and-photographer girlfriend, Alexandra Hedison. The wedding took place over the weekend, as confirmed by Foster's representative. The celebrity couple started dating last year, as reported by the celebrity news broadcaster E! A source also shared, "They are very much in love."
It could also be recalled that one of the highlights during the last year's Golden Globe Awards was the actress' public confirmation as gay in a speech. Her speech also included an acknowledgement of her former partner, Cydney Bernard, with whom she separated from in 2008. Foster and Bernard had two sons and were together for 2 decades.
Meanwhile, Hedison was also formerly linked to comedian and host, Ellen DeGeneres.
As of this writing, no details regarding the wedding have been disclosed yet. Foster's place of residence, California, could have been a possible venue since the state acknowledges same-sex marriages, along with 16 other US states.
Foster has definitely enjoyed the limelight of her career. She started acting at the age of 3 through television commercials. Nevertheless, her big international break arrived after her highly-acclaimed portrayal of a teenage prostitute in the film, Taxi Driver. Her role as Iris even landed her an Oscar nomination.
