Time changes everything. But, not for Aaron Carter, who just admitted he still has feelings for his former girlfriend, Hilary Duff. After they broke up more than a decade ago, the former chart-topper still longs to be the one to sweep Duff off her feet. Carter also confessed his longing to see his ex-flame again though they have not seen each other for a quite while already.

Carter shared, "Absolutely, I don't know who she is today, she doesn't know who I am today but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong." Carter started expressing his romantic affections for Duff in Twitter shortly after she revealed her split with Mike Comrie, her husband.

In his Twitter posts, Carter also shared that he is trying to improve himself to be a better man so he could get back to her. He is also prepping himself for mixed opinions over his desire to rekindle his previous relationship with the singer-actress. However, what others think are immaterial for Carter.

Carter and Duff was reportedly dating in 2000. Both were just 13 years old. Carter was also at the prime of his career back then.

Meanwhile, Duff and his ex-husband have remained good friends. The former couple has a two-year-old son named Lucas. Though they have confirmed that they are no longer together, the former couple has been seen together in numerous occasions, including the Coachella Music Festival in California.

A source related to the couple denied that the speculations that a major incident triggered the end of the couple's relationship. The insider revealed, "They have put effort and thought into this decision for a long time. They tried couples therapy, but in the end, they realized at this time, they work better as friends. And they really are great friends."
