"Broad City" on Comedy Central has been getting a lot of love.
The Comedy Central show, which was once a web series, is executive produced by Amy Poehler and has a genius set of creators. The girls behind the hilarious "Broad City" are Abbi Jackson and Ilana Glazer.
The show follows two women in their 20s as they experience the ups and downs of life in New York City.
The premise doesn't do the show justice. It simply must be watched.
"Broad City" was ordered by Comedy Central in March 2013 and now that the first season has ended, a second season has been ordered, reports Deadline.com.
Amy Poehler recently explained in a press event why "Broad City" is absolutely killing it with its solid fan base and positive reviews.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 42-year-old actress and producer stated, "In countries all over the world people are finding and needing something that feels true and real to them, and also being very suspicious when it's not."
Poehler continued, "They're able to sniff it out in a way if people are thrown together and cast in something that's created by someone else with no real origin story. Young people are savvy now."
"Broad City" is expected to get even more attention during its second season.
As we wait for the arrival of more comedy and pot-induced antics from its creators, fans should make sure to check out Ilana Glazer's web series "Chronic Gamer Girl," which is on its second season.
Recently, Glazer posted a new video called "Sex: A Journey of Love," encouraging viewers that they are, in fact, very desirable.
The comedian comes on-screen naked, with black bars covering her parts as she tells us we're beautiful.
According to Complex.com, the video was made in honor of 4/20 this past weekend.
