The "12 Years A Slave" actress has been getting a lot of love via Twitter and other social media outlets since she quickly rose to fame in the Steve McQueen film.
Recently, Lupita Nyong'o was able to experience a dream come true during her photo shoot for People.
The Grio reports that the stunning actress was visited by her inspiration, supermodel Alek Wek.
Nyong'o had talked about how big of a role model Alek Wek had been in the speech that she delivered at Essence's Black Women in Hollywood event.
The star stated, "Alek Wek came on the international scene, a celebrated model - she was dark as night, she was on all the runways and in every magazine, and everyone was talking about how beautiful she was."
Lupita Nyong'o continued, "I couldn't believe that people were embracing a woman that looked so much like me as beautiful. When I saw Alek, I inadvertently saw a reflection of myself that I could not deny."
As Lupita continues to be recognized for her talent and beauty, she's had to shut down quite a bit of boyfriend rumors.
She was recently rumored to be dating Jared Leto. The pair posted selfies on Twitter, sparking rumors that they were a couple.
Both the actress and Jared Leto have denied these claims.
Lupita is clearly more focused on her next career move, which is being carefully watched by both fans and those in the industry.
CNN Entertainment reports that the actress may be getting a role in Jon Favreau's live-action "Jungle Book."
The Hollywood Reporter reported that both Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong'o are currently discussing the possibility of joining the project.
There are rumors that Nyong'o may be the voice of Rakcha, the wolf mother who adopts Mowgli, while Johansson might be the voice of the python Kaa.
