Bad news is following Paul Simon after his recent tour dates with Sting have come to an end.

ABC News reports that the 12 time Grammy winner was arrested on disorderly conduct charges in Connecticut, where the singer resides after his Paul Simon and Sting tour.

The New Canaan Police Department reported that the 72-year-old and his wife Edie Brickell were arrested on the same charge due to domestic dispute, which happened over the weekend.

When the officers arrived at Simon's home at around 8:20pm on Saturday night, they found signs of physical violence and minor injuries.

No details have been revealed as to why the "family dispute" occurred.

TMZ reports that Paul Simon and Edie Brickell have been married for 22 years and have 3 kids together.

This is reportedly Simon's third marriage. Before Brickell, he was married to actress Carrie Fisher and Peggy Harper.

The legendary singer had recently been on the news as tour dates for the Paul Simon and Sting concerts were being announced.

He's always been loved and respected by the public for his talent and is widely known for hit songs including "Mrs. Robinson" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Paul Simon was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for his work as half of Simon and Garfunkel back in 2003.

He also became a member of the Rock n'Roll Hall of Fame as a part of Simon and Garfunkel as well as a solo artist.

As the details of this incident continue to surface, Simon's image as a legendary musician may become damaged.

Simon's agent in Los Angeles has yet to comment on the arrest.
