Folks in various parts of the U.S. may be asking the question, 'is there a tornado warning today?' after a tornado outbreak rips through central and southern parts of the country.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma raised the risk of significant tornadoes to the level "high" in Mississippi; the state is now on top alert level after a slew of tornadoes rocked the region over the weekend.
