The 23-year-old actress kicks more ass than ever in the latest X Men: Days of Future Past clip, which gives the first non-trailer look at the actress as Mystique.
The scene in the Yahoo clip begins with Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) entering a room of military-types to present his Sentinel program, the legion of mechanized warriors designed to stomp out the "mutant threat." Trask assures the group that the technology is harmless against humans, though his handheld gizmo soon reveals there's a mutant among them right then and there.
Cue J.Law swiftly shifting into action mode, taking down a room full of military men in some seriously impressive stunts.
J.Law is of course no stranger to on-screen fighting and physical acts of derring-do, having done plenty of running, leaping, and arrow-shooting as Katniss Everdeen in the first two "Hunger Games" movies. But Mystique is a completely different kind of creature (a "mutant of a different color," if you will): she knows kung fu.
And of course, it's impossible not to notice her flawless figure in that skintight blue body suit as she proves what a badass she can truly be.
The latest installment of the Bryan Singer-directed series centers on mutants past and present teaming up to fight for survival.
In addition to Lawrence and Dinklage, the star-studded cast includes Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy, Evan Peters, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Booboo Stewart, Lucas Till, Josh Helman, Evan Jonigkeit and Anna Paquin.
Ellen Page also reprises her role as Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, Daniel Cudmore returns as Peter Rasputin/Colossus and Shawn Ashmore is back as Bobby Drake/Iceman.
The flick is scheduled to hit theaters on May 23, while the next X-Men film, Apocalypse, is slated for a May 27, 2016, release.
