After ditching Kylie and Kendall Jenner, who's going to be Selena Gomez' new best friend? With Justin Bieber out of the way, some people speculate a reunion between Taylor Swift and the 21-year old singer. Instead of running back to her former BFF, the "Spring Breakers" star decided to seek advice from a much older and wiser pal - and that is no other than Katy Perry.
A source told HollywoodLife, "Katy has been helping Selena, she's doing everything she can to help her right now as far as being a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to that will understand."
It's good to know that Selena has found someone who can relate to what she has been through. The source added, "She's like a big sister to her, a nonjudgemental big sister. Katy doesn't push her opinions on Selena, but whenever Selena needs her, she is there for her."
Selena Gomez's new best friend isn't like her former BFF Taylor, who forced her to choose between her boyfriend and bestie. Maybe Katy has learned from her past relationships and already knows how to handle womanizers.
The insider said, "Katy has a lot of life experience as far as fame and relationships and dealing with players." The source added, "Compared to Russell Brand or John Mayer, Justin is still a kid. Those guys are real womanizers so Katy knows exactly what Selena is dealing with."
That's quite true because guys in their early 20s are still exploring their sexuality. With many girls going after Selena's ex-boyfriend, it will be tough to compete against all of them especially with the likes of the Jenner sisters and model Ashley Moore.
The "Come & Get It" singer looked happier and more peaceful now after deleting all the negativity in her life. She is a changed woman and the other changes in her life include changing a manager. Selena fired her parents and hired Katy Perry's manager instead. She hopes that her singing career will boost now that she's being handled by Brandford Cobb.
