iOS 7.1.1 Update: Not so long ago, Apple rolled out the iOS 7.1 update to its selected devices. Now, this latest OS has been patched and now bears the number, 7.1.1. The patch came with many fixes to the bugs reported on the iOS 7.1. On top of that, the TouchID function will be enhanced.
Among the fixes delivered is the one for the Bluetooth keyboard. There used to be a connectivity issue with the keyboard but now it is gone. Also, 7.1.1 managed to stop the Safari browser and multitasking function to crash.
With all, if not most, of the bugs being eliminated, iPhone users will certainly find pleasure when using their device.
While it all looks great with the iOS 7.1.1, it failed to address the issue where the iPhone's battery tends to run out rapidly. Who knows? The fix might just come in iOS 8 coming next month during WWDC.
Is iOS 7.1.1 Worth Installing?
Yes, It is recommended to install iOS 7.1.1 on the iPhone 5s for two main reasons. Touch ID is better than it was on iOS 7 and iOS 7.1, especially if you re-set up the fingerprints. This takes a few minutes, but it is worth it. The second reason is iOS 7.1.1 includes important security updates that keep your data safe.
It could be a while before another iPhone 5s update as Apple is holding a developer conference on June 2nd where we expect to learn about iOS 8. iPhone 5s users can expect a free iOS 8 update later this year.
