Persona 4 Golden anime first trailer has been revealed and it features the new character Marie, a new storyline, and an air date for the show on July 2014. If you haven't seen the trailer yet, here it is below.
Persona 4 the Golden animation was first shown last Friday at the "Dark Hour ~Persona Hour~" live program event in Niconico. The trailer features a new soundtrack and new footage that hasn't been seen in the Persona 4 animation. It starts off with the some compiled images of the last episode of the series, then shifts into the scene where the protagonist Yu Narukami is riding a train and arrives to Inaba for the first time. After he drops-off outside the train station, he waits for someone when suddenly a strong wind blew away the paper he was holding, and it lands on a young girl's shoes. Their Yu meets Marie for the first time and the trailer ends with the two looking beyond a horizon as the air date of the show appears on July this year.
For those who are not aware of who Marie is in Persona 4, Marie is the new character added in the improved Persona 4 game version; Persona 4 Golden on the PS Vita. Marie's role in the game will likely be same in the anime being a denizen of the of the shadow world appearing alongside Igor and Margaret. Speaking of the anime, the new storyline of Persona 4 the Golden animation will likely be the same as the first Persona 4 anime, but we'll likely see some new scenes, and developments that are not shown or cut-off in the anime . Shoji Meguro will be returning from the game series and the first anime to compose the music of the new series alongside Tetsuya Kobayashi, a collaborator of his since Persona 3 the Movie #2 Midsummer Knight's Dream. Series script supervisor Jun Kumagai worked on the scenario of every episode of the first series. Character designer Yuu Shindou worked as a key animator on episodes of the first series.
We will get to see some of the original and beloved characters of Persona 4 reunited once more alongside Marie, as Persona 4 Golden will be shown this July so get ready for a new adventure.
