Katie Holmes went full-on Disney princess at the 2014 Met Gala in a goldenrod-yellow ball gown by Marchesa.
Marchesa describes the gown as 'saffron gold silk faille hand pleated gown with off-the-shoulder sculptural drape and copper floral 3D ribbon embroidery.'
The off-the-shoulder (we wouldn't quite call it strapless) dress screamed Belle from Beauty and the Beast, but the overall effect was really more daffodil than anything else.
The multilayered gown featured a smattering of embroidery across the front, and the fabric crinkled around the thighs before smoothing out around the bottom of the full skirt.
Holmes, 35, finished off the look with a ring and earrings by Harry Winston. We couldn't really see her diamond ear candy, however, because the actress was once again wearing her hair down in those beachy waves she's been so fond of recently.
The annual Met Gala is widely considered fashion's most glamorous event.
Each year, American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour hosts the bash, held at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art.
Wintour - who will co-host this year's party with Sarah Jessica Parker and Bradley Cooper - is charging $25,000 at ticket, $10,000 more than last year's price.
The theme is White Tie And Decorations, an ode to Anglo-American designer Charles James.
Guests will reportedly be paying tribute to the late couturier by donning high-end vintage looks such as ball gowns and long gloves.
It's an interesting choice for the star, who made style waves during her marriage to the once-A-list Cruise for a mature sense of fashion. But perhaps the actress is trying to channel a more youthful image.
Of course, she's not the only one to be channeling the Mouse House. Anna Wintour's daughter, Bee Shaffer, channeled a very Cinderella-esque look, while Food Network celebrity chef Sandra Lee opted for something more suited for one of Cinderella step-sisters.
