Just when you've thought you've seen the last of the Iwatobi High School Swim Club. But hey, did they say "see you next summer" in the final episode?
When it was announced earlier this year that a new season of Free! is in the works, it has been reported that a lot of female fans fainted upon hearing the news - and we're not kidding here. Even the Nakano Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo - where the official announcement was held - was filled with flowers and greetings from the fans themselves!
Titled Free!: Eternal Summer, a promotional video was shown at the Akihabara district in Tokyo last Saturday. Kyoto Animation has been releasing a series of videos promoting the upcoming season of the anime. And if you're still in doubt of their comeback, simply watch this promotional video here. Those words, which mean "I've arrived, as promised" in Japanese, were from Haruka himself!
Otaku USA Magazine confirmed that the new season of Free! will premiere in July. In Japan it will be shown on the following TV stations: ABC, Tokyo MX TV, TV Aichi, and BS11 stations. While it is not yet confirmed if there would be an available online streaming, the episodes during the first season are streamed via Crunchyroll following the same Japanese airtime schedule.
