In commemoration of the upcoming release of the classic monster film remake this month, Warner Bros. releases the tie-in game titled Godzilla: Strike Zone.
Set in a fictionally disaster-stricken city of San Francisco, the player must undergo rescue missions and save all survivors "before it's too late," as reported by GameSpot. It is not yet revealed if the player will battle face to face with the legendary monster, like what usually happens in the earlier Godzilla movie series. Right now the game application is available for free download via iTunes and Google Play.
Godzilla, whose first major film was dated circa 1954 by Japanese movie company Toho, will premiere in cinemas on May 16, was directed by British director Gareth Edwards. The cast include Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, and Bryan Cranston.
