The Walking Dead Season 5

It's a treat to see "The Walking Dead" season 5 sneak peaks this early on, with the series on break till October. A few details leaked just the same, offering a glimpse of the plot and additional characters for "The Walking Dead" Season 5.

The clue is in the graphic novels, and according to creator Robert Kirkman, viewers aren't completely in the dark with the previous episode's turnout. "The Walking Dead" Season 4 ended with Rick and most of his crew rendezvousing at Terminus, a mysterious community offering asylum to stragglers. The last scene shows them cooped up in a cargo container, trapped and at the mercy of their host, but far from helpless.

There's ongoing debate as to the intentions of the Terminus community, and fans of the graphic novel suspect this is the same cannibal community portrayed in the comics. Kirkman is quick to dismiss the notion, but offers vague hints just the same. In a hollywoodlife.com article: "What could their plans possibly be? There are some answers out there, but they may not be exactly what you think."

Part of "The Walking Dead" season 5 sneak peaks involves new characters joining the post-apocalyptic melee, for better or for worse. In a hypable.com article, "Teen Wolf" star Seth Gilliam is confirmed to play an undisclosed role, with the tentative name of Michael Todd, a character having "two sides, displaying a friendly, puckish humor but also having a haunted side stemming from a dark secret." Fans assume Gilliam will play the role of Father Gabriel, a character acquainted with Eugene Porter in the graphic novel series. Having vague morals and motives, he's like most of the series' recurring cast.

A character named Burton, a 17-year old road-weary veteran with an amputated leg, is also reported to join Rick in "The Walking Dead" season 5 (ibtimes.com article). Beth, Carol, Tyreese, and baby Judith were left missing in action at the season 4 finale. They are expected to rejoin Rick in upcoming "The Walking Dead" season 5 sneak peaks.

The months leading to the October episodes may drag; fans will stay occupied with assumptions, "what-ifs?" in the meantime.
