Being part of one of the hottest boy bands in the late 90's, Justin Timberlake have no plans of going solo in his career - until he had an opportunity to chat with the King of Pop himself.

The former 'NSync crooner wrote a song for Michael Jackson years before making his own records, but it in the end it was released as "Gone" and popularized by the band. This decision made MJ to take a chance to talk with Justin about his musical career, which led the latter to take a stand and change his path forever as a solo artist.

As Justin recalled his experience in an upcoming episode of Oprah Master Class, he said: "I guess Michael did hear it, and called me on the phone and said that he wanted to cut the record, but he wanted it to be a duet between himself and I. And I said, 'Well, it's already out, we've already cut the song as an 'N Sync record ... could we do, like, an 'N Sync featuring Michael Jackson, or Michael Jackson featuring 'N Sync?' And he was very absolute about the fact that he wanted it to be a duet between himself and I."

"I think it's the first idea that I ever got about doing something on my own because it was the first time I ever really felt the confidence to do it," Justin explained himself further. His feature on Oprah Master Class will premiere on May 11.

Eventually, he released his first album Justified in 2002 and went on to sell 3 million copies in US alone. Now, the 20/20 Experience singer will be featured in Michael Jackson's posthumous single "Love Never Felt So Good," which will be officially released on May 16. Fans can now listen to the song via Youtube.
