Another popular cartoon show from our childhood will once again make a comeback on the big screen as the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon the Flinstones will have a reboot and currently under development by Warner Bros. studious.
According to reports from THR, the Flinstones reboot was conceived courtesy of write Chris Henchy, and executive producers Will Farrell, and Adam McKay. The three of them worked together previously in two movies; "The Other Guys" and "The Campaign".
There are also rumors hinting that the "Anchorman 2" star Will Farrell will voice the iconic father of the family Fred Flinstone, but that's not been decided by the heads of Warner bros. in regards to that rumor.
Aside from Fred Flinstone, we'll likely see more of our beloved characters from Bedrock such as Wilma, Pebbles, Barnie, Betty, Bamm Bamm, Dino etc.
The Flinstone is an animated family sitcom set in the Stone Age that deals with the everyday life of the Flinstone family and their neighbors the Rubbles. The show was produced by Hanna-Barbara and it ran from Septmeber 30, 1960 to April 1, 1966. It also spawned several spin-off shows like The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm show, Flinstone kids, Cave kids etc. and two live-action movies; The Flinstones in 1994 and The Flinstones in Viva Rock Vegas in 2000.
