Did "Fifty Shades of Grey" director use her position to get her husband into the cast? Sam Taylor-Wood also said that she's happy with the film's progress.
During the "Godzilla" reboot premiere on Thursday, "Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Wood, 47, revealed that her 23-year-old husband, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, will be part of the cast.
When asked by Access Hollywood to confirm rumors that she has included Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the erotic film, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" director said, "actually, I have."
However, she clammed up on providing more details as to his role in the film, which is headlined by Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora.
Meanwhile, "Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson is happy with the way the film is progressing.
"It's going good. I'm editing it right now, so I'm deep in the thick of it," she told the TV show, adding that she's excited with the way it turned out.
At that point, her husband Aaron butted in to cut the interview short: "Hush, hush. Don't give anything away yet."
It was "Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson's idea to cast Rita Ora to play the character of Mia, Christian Grey's sister, according to MTV.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" cast Rita Ora said that she originally planned to approach the director to contribute to the film's soundtrack. However, Sam Taylor-Johnson instead suggested that she audition for the role of Mia since that part wasn't taken yet.
Despite her inexperience, Rita Ora did the audition although she quickly added that she wasn't treated anything special and auditioned with hundreds of others.
When she landed the role, she took acting lessons and also tried to look the part. "I have an American accent in the movie. I've got a brown bobbed wig. I look really different," she said.
