Brock Lesnar's UFC involvement is far from over as the former heavyweight champion has gotten in touch with Dana White to convince Pat "HD" Barry to retire from professional fighting.

While the fighter did retire from mixed martial arts competition in January, "HD" is currently competing at the Glory World Series of Fighting, an international kickboxing promotion company.

Dana White talked about Brock Lesnar's UFC request wherein the former heavyweight champion mainly "begged" for his "friend" Patt Barry's retirement.

"Brock Lesnar called me and begged me to make (Pat Barry) retire," White recounted. "He said, 'I don't consider too many people my friend, and I consider Pat Barry a friend. Dana, you got to get this guy to retire.'"

Brock Lesnar is not known as a man with an altruistic nature, which is why Dana White was surprised about the request.

On the other hand, the outspoken UFC president has always been open about his opinions on veteran fighters who take so much beatings and how he himself talked them down about hanging up the gloves.

But for Dana White, Pat Barry's case is different, as he went on to compare him to other marquee veterans like Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell who have retired from the sport.

"I said, 'Listen, he's a grown man Brock. What am I gonna do?'" White continued about Brock Lesnar's UFC request. "It's different with guys like Forrest (Griffin) and Chuck (Liddell), guys that I've had relationships with for a long time. Guys who have made a lot of money."

"That's the difference. You look at guys like Forrest. Forrest and Chuck are multimillionaires. It's easy to make them quit," he added.

Brock Lesnar himself walked away from MMA in late 2011 after countless battles with diverticulitis and being soundly beating by UFC heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem.

Since then, he has gone back to professional wrestling for Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
