The video game hype still continues as Square Enix is prepared to dish out new trailers from their two juggernaut games; Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 in the annual E3 2014. Square Enix also teased their fans about a "surprise" at the end of the event. Is this what the fans have been waiting for? What kind of surprise will it be?
According to reports from PlayStation Universe, Square Enix Corporate Executive Shinji Hashimoto refused to rule out the appearances of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 in E3 2014. Recently a leaked video footage from Final Fantasy XV has surfaced the internet during the Thailand Comic-Con. The leaked video shows a whole new gameplay and scenes not shown in the previous trailer.
Could this be a sign that Square Enix is developing new trailer from both games. Hashimoto teased fans by stating that.
"We would like to keep it secret," Hashimoto said "It just only a few months from now (we think this part is a typo-surely Hashimoto knows E3 is not a few months away). I'm pretty sure you will be surprised."
"Actually not only do we have June, but there will be many events from now on such as San Diego Comic-Con, Tokyo Game Show, and others."
When one fan asked if Hashimoto could share more details regarding Kingdom Hearts 3, he teasingly replied by saying. "We are sorry. They are secret."
Hashimoto also touched upon Sony's selling of all of its Square Enix Stock.
"We didn't think this would become big news," he said. "Back in 2001, Square Enix had financial problems and Sony bought our stocks. Now, the situation is reversed. Since then, we have had good support from our customers for our products, so Square Enix is back on its legs. But Sony has declined.
"The presidents of both companies had negotiation and resulted as everyone knew. We did not have argument. Since Sony once helped us, it was time we helped Sony back."
Square Enix has been quiet under the radar regarding the development of both games, and fans are excited to see both FFXV and Kingdom Hearts 3 make an impact in E3 2014. With Hashimoto teasing the fans about it, their might be a hint to all of this. Could the "surprise" that Square Enix mentioned be the official release date of both games? The possibilities are endless, so we just have to wait when FFXV and Kingdom Hearts 3 comes E3 2014 soon.
