iPhone 5s Vs. iPhone 6: Rumours on the iPhone 6 to come earlier this year are reported to be affecting the sales of the iPhone 5s. This latest device from Apple has enjoyed a great sales record but the streak soon slowed down drastically after the world started reading up on the possibility of the iPhone 6 coming early.
Analysts revealed that sales of the iPhone 5s has certainly gone down the roof as consumers can't wait to see the iPhone 6 and what it has got to offer. Analysts also revealed that the enthusiasm for the rumoured phablet iPhone 6 is off the charts and nothing like they have seen before.
As a result, the iPhone 5s sales faltered. Another reason that contributed to the decline in sales in China is due to many carriers that are offering the iPhone 5 for the cheap. Of course, the bigger reason lies with the iPhone 6.
To counter this news, Apple said iPhone 5s still remains 'by far the top selling smartphone'. They also mentioned that "Apple continues to dominate smartphone sales with their flagship iPhone 5s and mid-range iPhone 5c as the handsets took two of the top three sales slots at every major U.S. wireless carrier for the third month in a row."
To add up, Before the iPhone 5s and 5c's release, Apple, Samsung, HTC, Nokia, Sony, and Motorola all had handsets enjoying top-three sales at at least one of America's big four carriers. Apple's September announcement pushed all but Samsung out of the picture and relegated the South Korean conglomerate's Galaxy S4 to the runner-up position across the board.
Up till today, there has yet to be any official confirmation by Apple to see if the rumours are true. Nevertheless, the world will definitely find out more during this year's WWDC happening next month.
