24 years have passed since the first episode of "Twin Peaks" aired. Now fans of "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" and "Twin Peaks" will be able to experience the mystery of Laura Palmer once again.

A new boxset edition of both "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" and "Twin Peaks" will be released in Blu-Ray format, according to Contact Music.

This special edition will include 90 minutes of unseen footage as well.

"During the last days in the life of Laura Palmer many things happened, which have never been seen before. They're here now alongside the new transfer of 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me' and 'Twin Peaks,' the television series," stated David Lynch.

During a recent appearance at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lynch talked about his love of one of the crime thriller's main settings.

"There's a beautiful thing about a diner. Your mind can go into dark places, but you can always return to the warmth and comfort of a well-lit diner. It's a nice place to think," stated Lynch.

Rumors began circulating earlier this year that Lynch would be retuning to "Twin Peaks" after a surprise casting call was made.

Sande Alessi Casting reportedly ran an ad referring to a "Twin Peaks" promo to be directed by Lynch.

The ad stated that the director was seeking a "hot Caucasian girl" with "an amazing body and very period looking face" to play a waitress.

Series co-creator Mark Frost dismissed the reports as a "baseless rumor."

The 90 minutes of never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes from the series was footage that fans of the show had created a Facebook petition for in 2011, according to Entertainment Weekly.
