Michael Jackson New Album 2014 Causes Family Rift; Jackie and Jermaine At Odds! Surprise ‘Xscape’ Event At Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards

The controversy never lets up concerning the Michael Jackson new album 2014. Aside from the much-speculated "performance" at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday evening, the "Xscape" album is reportedly deepening a rift in the Jackson family's already strained relationships.

Michael's brother Jackie recently expressed admiration for the release, giving kudos to producer L.A. Reid for getting it right. "[He] hit it right on the head." Jackie goes on, saying, "It brought tears to my eyes to see that they felt Michael was in the room when they made the record." He loved the album so much that he bought extra copies for friends.

His brother Jermaine wasn't as appreciative. It's not a good idea to release the Michael Jackson new album 2014, flat out. He said it also would've been better if the Jackson 5 collaborated with the material.

Jermaine was caught in an interview last Saturday in Calabasas. His stance on the release was guarded and bitter. When asked about the singles included in the collection, he says he's heard one track and thought it was good.

Jermaine had reason for going against the album's posthumous release. Against the idea of new music released without MJ's approval, the very least his estate can do is pull in or consult the Jackson 5. Timbaland was one of the talents asked to contribute in the production instead.

Other members of the Jackson 5 have yet to make a comment.

The news was expected in light of Michael Jackson's live 'encore' performance at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night. The actual nature of the event remained a secret till last night; it was confirmed that it's not going to be a collaborative tribute of celebrities.

A single from the Michael Jackson new album 2014 was showcased, and a three-dimensional, holographic image of Jackson performing took the stage and wowed the crowd.
