Beyonce and Solange Knowles have patched things up, in light of recent news. The two were seen together at a recent gathering, and Jay-Z was event present during the wrap-up.

Beyonce admitted the date was really a family affair, with friends Solo and Hova in attendance. The three talked for almost two hours at Café Amelie in New Orleans, Saturday afternoon.

The family rendezvoused for a private gathering, but security detail was highly visible. Three black SUVs escorted the group and stood guard. Bodyguards were posted outside the café to hold back any attempts to photograph the meeting.

There seemed to be no ill-feelings between Beyonce Solange Knowles; a photo of them has confirmed reports the previous week's incident is water under the bridge.

An unofficial photo of the affair was taken despite the heavy security detail, with Jay-Z and Beyonce boarding a separate car afterwards. Beyonce later posted pictures of her, with Solange and with the family (tmz.com).

Beyonce and Solange Knowles previously took steps to show a unified family to the public. She posted their childhood photos in social media, in the heat of the controversy. Solange initially responded by removing most of their pictures from her Instagram account.

Jay-Z is reserved with his comments, but was present at Saturday's meeting and in a photo snap of the family. Beyonce posted a teaser video of collaborative work with Jay-Z and Hova, hours after the date.

Beyonce and Solange Knowles took the heat when the latter allegedly assaulted Jay-Z in a public elevator. Supposed video footage of the incident showed Solange slapping and kicking the rapper, in spite of an onlooker's efforts to stop the scuffle.

The cause of the argument is still unknown, but it is speculated that Solange's discontentment with the way Jay-Z is handling her career led to the outburst. The couple and the family have since moved on from the incident, declining requests for comment.
