Jay Z's new club was recently launched at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, dubbed the world's busiest airport, according to the latest news on the high profile rapper by the Associated Press.
The latest opening is the third of his 40/40 Club following two other locations in New York City. The new addition to the rapper's business of classy lounges will cater to the airport's passengers, said spokeswoman Victoria Hong of Delaware North Companies, which is a partner of the rap mogul.
"We want to have the same type of feel as the regular 40/40 Club," she said about Jay Z's new club. "It's the airport version of the 40/40 Club."
Plans to make a VIP lounge area that would be a separate feature from the sports bar, is anticipated to open in late fall, according to Paul Brown, the airport's concessions director.
40/40 Clubs are well-known for luring famous sports personalities and record artists, including Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
The first club opened in Manhattan back in 2003 and in partnership with Juan Perez, while the other is located at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The club's moniker is taken from an exceptional achievement among baseball players who are able to hit 40 homers and steal 40 bases in a single season.
Meanwhile, ticket prices for the rapper and Beyonce Knowles' "On The Run" Tour fell 13.5% after video footage showing Jay Z getting involved in an altercation with his wife's sister, Solange, leaked its way throughout the Internet, according to an article published in Forbes.
The family already issued a recent statement that they have "moved forward as a united family."
The average ticket price was $306.22 before the incident, and it has now been reduced to $264.73.
Data from TiqlQ stated that despite the controversy, ticket prices for Jay Z's joint tour with Beyonce remains among the top five upcoming music tours this summer.
