Anderson Silva's comeback date has remained uncertain as "The Spider" is also unsure if he will still honor his ten-fight deal with the UFC.

The longest-reigning UFC middleweight champion signed the contract in 2012, to the delight of Zuffa and UFC President Dana White. The outspoken UFC executive even placed a 100-fight deal on the table, "if Anderson Silva wants one."

But after his gruesome leg injury in December 2013 at UFC 186 against current champion Chris Weidman, Anderson Silva changed his tone about a comeback, and honoring his lengthy contract altogether.

"The Spider" spoke to Brazilian media outlet Sportv about his plans regarding his immediate fighting future.

"I have eight fights to do yet in my contract," Silva said. "I want to do all these fights, but I don't know that I will be in the mood to do this."

"For now, I'm very excited. I'm going through a renowsavation phase. It's going to be nice for me do what I love when I be back to fighting," he added.

Anderson Silva's comeback was originally slated at 2015, as opposed to Dana White's statement of a late 2014 return. After being cleared by his doctors about going back to training, "The Spider" has had his sights set to getting back into fighting form.

"I am very excited to be back for training. My doctor in Brazil said my leg is good. I am very happy," Silva said in an interview with Karyn Bryant for MMA Heat. "Next year, I back [sic]."

But after the recent turn of events, no word has been given if Anderson Silva's comeback promise by 2015 will take place.

At age 39, "The Spider" has been through countless wars, both in PRIDE FC and the UFC. He already is a legend in the sport of MMA, and his fighting record speaks for itself.
