Katharine McPhee and Michael Morris were caught passionately kissing in a car on October 22 of last year. The married father of three seems to have reconciled with wife Mary McCormack after the couple was seen dining together and chatting up Sandra Bullock in March. Meanwhile, McPhee has filed for divorce from husband Nick Cokas.

"After six years of marriage, and having been separated for the past year,Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas. The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. They ask that people respect their privacy during this time," Katharine Mcphee's rep told People magazine.

Another source shared to the mag, "It was just time. They'd grown apart and weren't right for each other anymore."

Katharine and Nick were last seen walking their dogs together in March, five months after publicly making out with married Smash director Michael Morris, according to the Daily Mail.

The 'American Idol' singer was photographed walking her dogs with Cokas in Los Angeles. At the time, the Daily Mail reported that the couple was not back together yet, and were living separately.

McPhee had reportedly been working hard to 'patch things up' and they have been spotted together in public on a few occasions. The Smash star even went as far as to buying Cokas a Rolex according to TMZ.

Michael Morris' wife Mary McCormack had reportedly kicked Morris out of their home which they share with their three children after news of an affair between Morris and McPhee emerged.

People magazine reported that the actress, "prefers to keep her focus on her daughters' Lillian, aged two, Rose, aged six and Margaret, aged nine" at the time. However, the couple was seen dining together earlier this year in March and seemed to have reconciled.

McPhee can be seen next as diner waitress slash genius wrangler Paige in the drama pilot Scorpion, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
