The newest car racing game Driveclub is rumored to have a scheduled beta test on July as Sony has uploaded a video interview that devs on Driveclub's many game features including 50 available cars and 1080p run of the game.
According to reports from VG24/7, the beta test for Driveclub will go live this coming July as Sony will announce the beta during the PlayStation E3 media briefing on June 9, with a sign-up on the following day.
When asked about the possibility of the beta test to be public, Driveclub design director Simon Barlow answered that website by saying.
"I'd be very keen to do a beta but at the moment I haven't got any plans I can announce."
"We're looking at multiple options for continuing user testing. We may very well do a friends and family private beta within the Sony family. But as for any open betas or closed betas there are no specific plans as yet."
Sony recently confirmed the Driveclub release date as October 7. The racer will be offered as a full price of $60, in addition to a cut-back Driveclub PS Plus Edition downloadable free of charge to subscribers.
Meanwhile, Sony posted the video interview with the Evolution devs on the PlayStation Blog. It was also revealed on the Blog that there are 50 car models in Driveclub and Sony reiterated that the racer will run at 1080p. Here is the video below.
