Bad news Marvel fans, director Edgar Wright leaves the Ant-Man movie due to creative issues as Marvel studios made an official statement regarding Wright's decision on leaving the movie. What will happen to Ant-Man now, and will this affect the film's shooting schedule and release date?

According to reports from Deadline.com, Marvel and director Edgar Wright have been at odds in the past two weeks about the sudden changes of the Ant-Man movie script. Edgar Wright was attached into directing the project, but due to the sudden changes in the script of the story, Wright decided to call it quits.

Marvel Studios made a statement earlier regarding the Edgar Wright's decision to from the Ant-Man movie.

"Marvel and Edgar Wright jointly announced today that the studio and director have parted ways on Marvel's "Ant-Man" due to differences in their vision of the film. The decision to move on is amicable and does not impact the release date on July 17, 2015. A new director will be announced shortly."

Wright's decision to leave will definitely affect the shooting schedule of film as Ant-Man is set to release on July 17, 2015. As of now there is no word on who will be directing the Ant-Man film but some movie fans believe that Jon Favreau (Iron Man 1 and 2) and Kenneth Branagh (Thor) are the unlikely candidates to do the movie.

The Ant-Man movie stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Mana and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym while Patrick Wilson and Matt Gerald have been cast in undisclosed roles as of yet.
