The nature of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow's marriage lately became the center of speculation. With the couple hesitant and non-responsive to any inquiries, the truth is anybody's guess at this point.
There are clues they've yet to "consciously uncouple," though. The two were recently spotted sharing a vehicle on an errand May 17, and refused to comment when asked if they were mending ties.
Chris Martin is also approaching speculations with positive ambiguity. Reporters caught up with him Thursday at the LAX, and the Coldplay front man was tight-lipped against any questions regarding his current relationship with the actress. He was even explicit about it, placing his hand on one reporter's shoulder and saying he doesn't intend to comment on anything (tmz.com).
Clues to Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow's relationship were exposed in an unlikely incident, though. Legal documents indicate the couple is still living together.
Paltrow recently filed a restraining order against an obsessed fan practically terrorizing her, stalking her, even breaking into her house. The actress says this has been going on for several years.
The courts granted her a three-year restraining order. In the document, Chris Martin is indicated as one of the parties covered by the protection. Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow are still together, at least on paper.
A hand-written and initialed note even indicated Chris Martin "lives with petitioner," referring to Gwyneth. It's either part of the process of conscious uncoupling or the pair has decided to settle their spat and reconcile.
The couple's separation was ambiguous at the outset. Gwyneth was previously quoted regarding their conscious uncoupling: "We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separate, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."
Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow then decided to "un-couple" but still "co-parent" their children.
