A new trailer for Ghost in the Shell Arise has been released as the trailer features a new ending them song by Sean Lennon, and some concept images of the new characters being introduced in the Ghost in the Shell anime series.
Anime News Network reported that the new trailer for Ghost in the Shell Arise has been streamed courtesy of the anime's official website and PlayStation YouTube channel. The Trailer is a teaser on the third episode of Ghost in the Shell Arise titled "border: 3 Ghost Tears" and it features a new ending theme song" HeartGrenade" by Sean Lennon, the son of the late musician John Lennon, and Japanese artist Yoko Ono and composed by Keigo Oyamada.
The anime also revealed a tagline that says "The love that seeks this body" revealing a little spoiler as it hints a contract killer who falls in love with his target who happens to be a cyborg. The episode finally assembles all the members of the team as they deal with a terrorist bombing at a dam and a secretive "ultra-wizard-level hacker" known only as Fire Starter. The bombing may be linked to "Scylla," the hero of the Carudisu War of Independence in the Republic of Kuzan.
There are also new concept arts of the new characters in the anime such as Akira Hose, Dr. Zhinzhee Bekka Arr Thied, Emma, and new voice actor for Ishikawa. The images are in the slideshow above.
Ghost in the Shell Arise border: 3 Ghost Tears will be open in Japan on June 28 in select theaters for two weeks as Funimation has licensed the four-part anime and released the first episode in a special imported edition in August. The company also offers a special-edition release prior to its English dubbed home video release.
