Critically acclaimed film director Quentin Tarantino announced that Django Unchained, the Western movie hit that run for almost three hours, could run a little (really?) bit longer. Quentin Tarantino showed Django Unchained's never-before-seen footage during the press conference of Cannes Film Festival which consists of more than 90 minutes!
According to Quentin Tarantino himself, Django Unchained's exclusive footage will be included in a special four-hour film cut which he hopes will be premiered as a four-part miniseries for a cable television channel. He tells the press, "You present someone with a four-hour movie, and they roll their eyes. They go, 'I don't want to watch that!' But you show them a four-part miniseries that they like and they're dying to watch all four episodes in a row."
He also told that this idea is currently an indefinite plan and just came up during the press conference. Quentin Tarantino wants Django Unchained to be shown on 35-millimeter film instead of a digital version because for him, digital projection signifies the "death of cinema."
