The long wait is over! Hunter X Hunter Manga is finally returning after more than two years of hiatus!

Shueisha and Viz Media announced on Tuesday that Yoshihiro Togashi will resume his Hunter X Hunter manga series once again in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in June. It will run simultaneously in English.

Known for not following the pattern of the traditional Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Yoshihiro Togashi will finally begin following the trend wherein the upcoming chapter will be regularly released once per week starting this June.

Togashi went on hiatus after his longest uninterrupted run of the manga in March 2012. Shueisha shipped the 32nd compiled volume in Japan in December 2012, and Viz Media just released the same volume in North America this month.

The story was cut short during the 13th Hunter Chairman Election arc. Netero, the Hunter chairman has passed away after his confrontation with the Chimera Ant King, Meruem. A new Hunter chairman is needed, so the Zodiac Twelve are gathered to establish a new election for their new Hunter chairman. Ging Freecss, one of the Zodiac Twelve members is leading the establishment. Leorio returns and quickly rises to prominence as a top candidate in the election. These events act as a backdrop to the efforts of Killua and his servants, who wish to revive a hospitalized Gon using the Nen ability of Alluka Zoldyck. Illumi, aided by Hisoka, attempts to stop Killua due to the potential dangers attached to using Alluka's powers.

The manga inspired two television anime series including one that has been running since 2011. It also inspired two anime films and several original video anime titles.

More details on the manga's return will be in this year's combined 22nd/23rd issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on Monday.
