Fans of the popular anime are all excited to watch Sailor Moon 2014 on July 5! Viz Media recently announced that the worldwide premiere of "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal" will launch worldwide on that day. We can consider it a double celebration because "Sailor Moon Day" will also happen on July 5 at the Anime Expo.
However, the official website of the Sailor Moon franchise's 20th anniversary announced that there will be an advanced screening for the latest series on June 30. A popular Japanese fashion magazine will also host a birthday party for Usagi Tsukino, or also known as Sailor Moon.
According to the website, Usagi's birthday bash will feature the models of ViVi magazine and other special guests. The advanced screening of Sailor Moon 2014 will be held at the Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo, where major concerts and events are held.
I'm pretty sure that the male species are excited to attend the pre-screening of the "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal". Not only do they get the honor to watch the premiere episode first, but also get to mingle with gorgeous models.
Unfortunately, the organizers announced that men aren't allowed in the birthday party. Don't worry because guys can still get in if they are with a female attendee. More details about the ViVi sponsored advanced screening of Sailor Moon 2014 and Usagi's birthday party will be released on May 28.
"Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal" has 26 episodes and will stream twice a month for one year. Japanese voice actress Kotono Mitsuishi returns as Usagi Tsukino a.k.a. Sailor Moon and will star alongside Rina Satou as Sailor Mars, Shizuka Itou as Sailor Venus, Hisako Kanemoto as Sailor Mercury, and Ami Koshimizu as Sailor Jupiter.
Viz Media was able to get license for distributing Sailor Moon 2014 in North America. The new series will stream via Niconico service every first and third Saturdays of each month, starting on July 5.
