According to reports from THR, Johnny Depp has been in talks with Lionsgate/Summit's new movie "The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America's First Superhero". The movie will delve into Houdini's career as a master illusionist, as well as his legacy in investigating paranormal worlds and occult practices.
The website further adds that the Houdini movie will have an "Indiana Jones" like theme, so expect a lot of action packed sequences in the movie.
The Secret Life of Houdini will be directed by Dean Parisot (Red 2) and screenwriter Noah Oppenheim (Maze Runner) will adapt the script based on William Kalush and Larry Sloman's original book of the same name. Meanwhile, Johnny Depp's partner Christi Dembrowski is in talks of producing movie.
The question still remains though, will this be a blockbuster success or another disappointing failure?
