Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have decided to renew their wedding vows for their sixth anniversary amidst the alleged divorce rumors that surround the couple.

The superstar pair is reportedly organizing a "lavish ceremony" in Sydney, Australia, according to Gay Star News.

Ellen DeGeneres slammed the divorce rumors on her talk show, stating that all of this was "news to her," according to examiner.com.

"There have been a lot of headlines suggesting that their relationship is in trouble. They want to quash them. [They] are looking to do something on or around August 16, their sixth wedding anniversary, in Portia's home country of Australia," an insider told OK! magazine.

The source added, "They want it to be in Sydney because the city has a big gay population, and they want to help spur the acceptance of same-sex marriage."

56-year-old Ellen and 41-year-old Portia started dating back in 2004 and married in their Los Angeles home on August 16, 2008 in front of 19 guests, according to the Daily Mail.

Despite the divorce rumors, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi continue to keep their relationship strong.

"The truth is, and this is corny, I fall more in love with Portia all the time. I really do. She surprises me all the time. It's what anyone experiences when you find that person that gets you, want to take care of you, wants the best for you. We're really lucky because we know how rare it is," stated DeGeneres to People magazine back in February.

The comedian had expressed her gratitude for her relationship with her wife before they got married as well.

"She's taught me lessons about myself, and I feel like I've taught her. We've both changed and grown, and we just feel like, 'Oh, okay, this is completion,'" stated the talk show host.
