Apple WWDC 2014 will start on June 2 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. And you can bet more people will be tuning in this year than ever since the Keynote address will be streamed live on the Apple webpage. The Keynote will begin at 1 pm EDT Monday.

With 5000 ticketholders drawn from a lottery system attending the conference, the live stream will have a huge impact on Apple watchers and how they perceive Apple is creating innovation based technology.

In order to view the live stream from San Francisco, you will need to install Safari for Mac OSX 10.6 users, iOS 4.2 or Quicktime 7 on Windows. A WWDC channel will be created on apple TV, but you will need a 2nd or 3rd generation Apple TV with iOS5 at a minimum.

The major announcements at Apple's WWDC 2014 will include the Healthbook, comprised of health and fitness apps. Analysts say that the Healthbook connects to external iOS devices like the rumored iWatch. There is likely to be new apps, software and hardware upgrades along with new product categories.

While the iWatch announcement remains a shroud of mystery, the MacBook Air with Retina is certainly the hardware that you can bet on because it is the only hardware that has yet to upgrade to a high-res monitor. And this is the right time for it since the company has struggled in the past to find compatible batteries to power the monitor and at the same time maintain its light weight.

The first feature product to give the software giant a face-lift will be the 'Smart Home' system, which has received a lot of buzz in the media along with the Beats acquisition. The smart home concept will utilize the ubiquitous iPhone into a remote control of sorts to connect parts of a larger home platform. This idea of being interconnected was a major theme during the CES and MWC 2014 trade shows

Should Apple extend the iBeacon technology in order to have an iPhone pair automatically with the smart home platform, then older iPhones and iPhones including iPhone 5S, 5, 5C and 4S, New iPad, New iPad with Retina display, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display and fifth-generation iPod touch should work on the home automation system.

A speculation that Apple will use the WWDC 2014 stage to introduce members of Beats after acquiring the music streaming firm for $3 billion is also high on the events to take place at Moscone.
