Amanda Bynes 2014 is no longer the lost girl of the past.
The 28-year-old was all smiles while leaving a Cardio Barre studio near her parents' home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., her blond hair bouncing and her bod looking as fit as ever in leggings and a black T-shirt.
As usual, she kept her eyes shielded behind oversize shades. Black flip-flops showed off red polish on her toes.
Bynes has appeared increasingly happy and healthy since she enrolled in fashion school earlier this year after spending time in treatment and cleaning up the legal messes of varying sizes that she got into over the last two years.
While school and family have been keeping her mind busy, it turns out that Cardio Barre, which combines ballet-inspired moves with light weights and other exercises that look small but pack a huge punch, has been helping her keep her muscles busy for years.
The studio's site even includes Bynes among its celebrity regulars, quoting her as saying, "I have been coming to Cardio Barre for 6 years. It is an amazing workout that tones, tightens, and is so fun at the same time! I am a huge fan!"
In addition to being to resuming her workout routine, Bynes took another big step toward normal when she got her driver's license back last month, the DMV having suspended it back in August 2012 after she racked up a number of tickets and failed to make the required court appearances.
The recovering 28-year-old appeared fresh-faced in a Twitter snap she shared recently alongside her 'beautiful' older sister Jillian Joyce.
Gone were the former child star's ratty weave and dimple piercings from her downward spiral of erratic behavior in 2013.
In fact, Amanda looked a lot like she did when she attended the Easy A premiere in 2010 - which was her last screen role.
It was the first fans had heard from Bynes, who last shared two bikini-clad snaps on her 28th birthday.
Last month, her mother Lynn Bynes confirmed that her daughter's episodes were due to marijuana and she had 'no mental illness whatsoever.' "She has never been diagnosed as schizophrenic or bipolar," Lynn told E! News.
