The 2011 Indonesian martial arts action film The Red Redemption will have an American remake courtesy of Screen Gems, and four potential actors are listed to join the Raid remake.
According to reports from The Variety, the four actors that will join the Raid remake are Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke, "Fast & Furious 6" star Luke Evans, and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" stars Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo.

However there is some bad news, the Variety reported that the scheduled production for the Raid remake will be pushed back from September 2014 to the first quarter of 2015 as sources close to the production told Variety that the film's producer is "seeking a bigger name" possibly another A-list actor to join the movie.
The question is, can the remake out do the original movie?
Many movie goers and critics have been skeptical about Americanizing foreign hits such as Brick Mansion, Let Me In, Old Boy, The Ring etc. and would often have bad reviews in the box office due to the difference in style and storytelling.
The Expendables 3 director Patrick Hughes will be directing the Raid remake, while Brad Ingelsby will pen the script. There is no announcement yet regarding the official release date for the movie.
