For all this time, Apple Earpods are considered to be one of the best earphones out in the market. To top it up, this is bundled with the Apple iPhone. Even the recent redesign was met with applause.

But let's face it, you can't please everyone in this world. Some criticize the Apple headphone for many reasons - the easily damaged cord, its lack of resistance to sweat and even its sound quality. However when compared to the many headsets bundled with Android phones, they would still prefer the Apple headsets.

News broke out that the new head in charge of the Earpods isn't scared to speak his mind. He is Jimmy Iovine who is the co-founder of Beats By Dre and ever since the acquisition, a permanent Apple employee.

He said that the Earpods are "awful" and if, "you listen to 'Apocalypse Now' and a helicopter sounds like a mosquito." What do you think of the earphones that come bundled with the iPhone?

It seems unlikely this comment will go unnoticed by Apple's PR department, and Iovine may be spoken to about what he is and isn't allowed to say. Will he listen? It seems unlikely. If things don't go well working for Apple he isn't exactly wanting for money anymore and could have his pick of jobs at other music-related companies.

This may also say something about the future of the EarPods. Will the next iPhone and iPod touch come with Beats EarPods, after another redesign? If it improves the sound quality yet further, I doubt anyone inside or outside of Apple will be complaining.

n the bright side, the guy knows his stuff and seeing how particular Iovine is with these tiny details, he will definitely take it to himself to improve these criticisms of his. That is if he will still remain as an Apple employee after this ruckus.
