Rose Byrne is in a hot new trailer for "Annie," also starring her real life boyfriend Bobby Cannavale and Jamie Foxx as Will Stacks, a modernized Daddy Warbucks, who is running for political office in New York City.

Quvenzhané Wallis stars as the orphan Annie. Cameron Diaz stars as Miss Coleen Hannigan, the cruel, control freak of the foster home where Annie resides. Rose Byrne plays Grace Farrell, Stacks' faithful personal assistant and Annie's mother figure. Bobby Cannavale is a "bulldog political adviser" to Stacks.

Foxx's character has a head of fake hair just like Daddy Warbucks and Wallis' Annie pays homage to the original red head with her "gigantic" hair. When Annie asks Grace why she and Mr. Stacks are not dating, Grace says that he does have nice hair. Annie hilariously responds, "I wouldn't bet on the hair, sister."

"Annie" is the latest incarnation based on the 1977 Broadway musical, and by the looks of the trailer, the music will also be getting a face lift.

"Just because you can run from it, doesn't mean you should," Grace says to Stacks in the new trailer.

"The city needs me," Stacks responds.

"Okay, take it easy, Batman," Grace quips.

Annie's fellow orphans at her foster home ask her about Stacks, "Is he nice?"

She cutely responds, "I think so. He just doesn't know it yet."

The film is produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith and will hit theaters on Dec. 19. See the full trailer below!

Byrne will also be seen in "This Is Where I Leave You" this year, with a stellar cast of Jane Fonda, Tina Fey, Jason Bateman, Adam Driver, Kathryn Hahn, Corey Stoll, Connie Britton, Ben Schwartz, Timothy Olyphant, Aaron Lazar, Debra Monk, Abigail Spencer and Dax Shepard.

"This Is Where I Leave You" is based on the novel by Jonathan Tropper and follows the story of a huge family who comes together to mourn following a major death.

"This Is Where I Leave You" will hit theaters on September 12, 2014.
