Wanderlei Silva's UFC 175 removal has been finally explained after "The Axe Murderer" was taken off the fight for not submitting himself to the requirements of the Nevada State Athletic Commission to do a mandatory drug test.

Fellow Brazilian contender Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort stepped in as his replacement.

Following the incident, Wanderlei Silva released a video, explaining his side of the story. "The Axe Murderer" describes the entire incident as "a big confusion."

"This is all a big confusion," Silva explained. "Everything I've heard, I heard it, just like you, from the internet."

Wanderlei Silva's UFC career has been put in jeopardy following this most recent episode. He explains that a representative from the Commission showed up at his gym bearing papers for him to sign that were written in English.

This seemed to be troubling for "The Axe Murderer", as he had a difficult time reading documents in English, and wanted his lawyer to be by his side during the signing. Wanderlei Silva also claimed that the man did not show him any identification.

This was when he allegedly ran to his car and drove off.

"The Axe Murderer", did however, reiterate the importance of the supposed fight. For Wanderlei Silva, the upcoming UFC 175 fight was the fight that "he wanted the most in his entire life."

"In 20 years of my career and 50 professional fights, I never refused to test or failed to apply for a license to fight," Silva said. "If this fight doesn't happen, it will be very difficult for me."

His scheduled bout against "The American Gangster" Chael Sonnen has been a highly anticipated one since it was announced early this year.

That being said, "The Axe Murderer" says he is willing to give in to the Nevada State Athletic Commission's demands and make his fight against Chael Sonnen happen.

"Once I am back in Las Vegas, I will reach out to the NSAC to submit myself to any blood or urine test like I always have done," Silva promised.
