Apple WWDC opening OSx keynote address was a bang up introduction to the Cupertino firm's developer show. Apple is making the two hour keynote available on its website and is showing a live stream of the OSX 10.10 Yosemite, iOS 8.
Releasing the most recent OS X version labeled "Yosemite," it will be the latest iteration of iOS 8. Apple will also have a couple of surprises at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2014.
OS X 10.10 Yosemite combines the attributes of iOS7 into Apple's desktop OS. Adding several new OS add-ons, allows for a Spotlight, 'dark mode' and an improved Notification Center. One of the most exciting functions of Yosemite is the feature, 'Continuity'. This function allows iOS devices to share information and important data seamlessly.
New in 2014, iCloudDrive will be a cross-platform tool enabling Box like tool storage of docs and editing.
Examining iOS8 closer, this OS has added a myriad of features such as Quick Type keyboard, widened spotlight searches, more Siri features, along with an easier to use Notification Center. Along with this, the Cupertino, California firm has unveiled a HealthKit and a complimentary Health app to gather health data and activity in a single storing space.
A coding language called Swift is also one of Apple's latest additions and this enables users to incorporate other coding languages with ease.
Developers will be able to download and preview beta editions of OSX 10.10 and iOS 8 through Apple's Download portal.
