Anime News Network reports that Animax Asia has been streaming the trailer as the Hunter X Hunter: Phantom Rouge will be shown in different Asian countries. The film will be shown on June 7 in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Thailand, and Indonesia.
The story of Phantom Rouge centers on Kurapika's mission of vengeance as he hunts down the members of the criminal organization known as "Phantom Troupe". Along with his friends Gon, Killua, and Leorio they face a new enemy named Omakage as the enemy manage to steal Kurapika's eyes hinting a sinister plot in the works.
Hunter X Hunter is an anime manga created by Yoshihiro Togashi who is known for his other works such as Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Fighter), and Level E.
Hunter X Hunter story centers on Gon Freecss as he searches for his Father Ging, who he thought was dead turns out to be alive. Gon discovers that Ging was actually a licensed Hunter, a profession that specializes in many pursuits such as treasure hunting, exploration of unknown worlds and creatures, and bounty hunting. Along the way Gon meets various individuals such as Killua Zoldyck, Kurapika, and Leorio Paladinight as they will undergo the same rigorous Hunter Examination with their dreams and ambitions on the line.
Hunter X Hunter: Phantom Rouge premiered in Japan last year January 12, 2013.
