Game of Thrones season 5 spoilers are expected when the show comes with a reference book; the series' next season won't disappoint.
Spoiler alert: things are shaking up and trouble is brewing from the North. The onslaught of the white walkers will have to wait as upcoming power mongers stake their claim on the Iron Throne.
The recent episode has the Boltons steadily gaining the upper hand, capitalizing on Joffrey's assassination. Roose moves further up the north with the help of a ruse from Ramsey. Both cast their sights on the entire north, which is larger than the rest of the six kingdoms combined.
Without giving away too much of Game of Thrones season 5 spoilers, it appears Bolton's North will have a huge role in the power play. Daenerys has settled to be sitting queen, at least for the meantime. It's still up to the HBO execs (and George R.R. Martin) how the stories will unravel, but next season is likely to see more of the Boltons up front and center (wetpaint.com).
A recent leak has also revealed the region of Dorne will be a major presence in season 5. HBO is currently casting for characters from the Martell family. Oberyn made his mark in previous episodes, also made a dramatic exit in the last.
Game of Thrones season 5 spoilers peg Princes Doran and Trystane Martell to show up in the Oberyn aftermath. It was previously mentioned the Lannisters were expecting Doran to attend Joffrey's wedding instead of Oberyn; the prince is wheelchair-bound and fifty years old. Trystane is much younger, with actors cast for the role of an 18-year old.
Oberyn's bastard daughters are also introduced in season 5, with characters slightly deviated from the R.R. Martin books. Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene, known as the "Sand Snakes," are as sly and as dangerous as their father (ign.com). More Game of Thrones season 5 spoilers will likely leak as the 4th season wraps up in the next few weeks.
