Hugh Jackman has opened up about his battle with cancer.
The "X-Men: Days of Future Past" actor recently revealed on his Instagram account that he had to have a spot of skin cancer removed. In the photo, Jackman was seen with a bandage to cover a part of his nose where the skin cancer spot was removed.
In an interview with ABC News, the 41-year-old actor considers himself lucky to find out about his condition this early.
"It's all preventable. I was lucky to be in a job, where I have makeup artists looking at my face, going, 'What is that?'" he said. "And my wife nagging me to go and get it checked out."
"We are all human, this happened to me, I didn't wear sun screen when I was a kid. I don't want kids to be as stupid as me and maybe they'll listen to Wolverine more than they'll listen to teachers at school," he added.
Now that Hugh Jackman can put his cancer dilemma behind him, he is now seen bouncing in a new promotional video for the 2014 Tony Awards.
Jackman, this year's host of the awards ceremony, continually jumps and down in the whole video. He's jumping in the shower, while shaving and brushing his teeth. He's even jumping inside a plane!
But the video doesn't reveal the reason behind all the jumping. Instead, it tells viewers that they need to watch the Tony Awards on Sunday, June 8, to find out why.
The event will take place in Radio City Music Hall in New York. Along with Jackman as the host, several celebrities have been slated to appear in the show including Orlando Bloom, Bradley Cooper and Samuel Jackson. Sting and the cast of "Wicked" the musical will also be performing at the event.
