Ever since Gwyneth Paltrow divorced her husband, it seems everything she does and says sparks interest on the internet.
After she received criticism for comparing hate comments thrown at her to an actual war, she now has opened up about the possibility of water having feelings. Yes, water.
The 41-year-old actress wrote on her blog "Goop" that she was "fascinated" by the power of the human consciousness. Empowered by a theory made by Japanese author Masaru Emoto, she spoke of how humans can actually change water structure through their behavior.
"I have long had Dr. Emoto's coffee table book on how negativity changes the structure of water," Paltrow wrote. "How the molecules behave differently depending on the words or music being expressed around it...I am fascinated by the growing science behind the energy of consciousness and its effects on matter."
Although Emoto's theories have been discredited by scientists, Paltrow remains to be a firm believer of the theory. And even though it has been said that Emoto's study violated the laws of physics, she still asked a friend to explain the theory further.
According to Paltrow's friend, Habib Sadeghi, Emoto experimented with water by putting them in vials with negative phrases like "I hate you," or "fear."
He further explained: "After 24 hours, the water was frozen, and no longer crystallized under the microscope: It yielded grey, misshapen clumps instead of beautiful lace-like crystals. In contrast, Emoto placed labels that said things like 'I love you' or 'Peace' on vials of polluted water, and after 24 hours, they produced gleaming, perfectly hexagonal crystals."
Last week, Paltrow came under criticism for comparing negative comments about her on the Internet to what people go through during human conflict.
Gwyneth Paltrow refers to her divorce to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin as "Conscious Uncoupling." Ever since she announced the split using the term, the actress have quite grown a huge following - of haters that is. She has been receiving flak from netizens left and right with her opinions.
Just recently, she was also under fire and the internet's scrutiny for her motherhood comments saying it is more difficult for her since she is an actress.
