"30 Rock" cast Tracy Morgan's car accident on the New Jersey Turnpike sent the comedian to the intensive care unit as the six-car pileup in New Jersey Saturday morning killed one person and injured six others.

In a report by Reuters, the "30 Rock" actor was flown by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey due to his critical injuries when the limo bus he was riding in overturned.

His fellow passenger, identified by CNN as James McNair, 63, of Peekskill, New York, died after the Tracy Morgan car accident involving three other vehicles and two tractor-trailers around 1 a.m.

New Jersey State police spokesman Gregory Williams told CNN: "The limo bus is the only vehicle that overturned. Looks like one of the tractor-trailers may have rear-ended that limo bus, but that's preliminary at this time."

The spokesman initially discounted alcohol as a contributory factor to the crash, although he said police are still investigating as of this time.

According to Chicago Tribune, Tracy Morgan car accident occurred in the middle of his "Turn it Funny" stand-up comedy tour. On Friday night, he was scheduled to perform in Dover, Delaware and was due to perform in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday night.

The publication also said that Tracy Morgan's rep did not respond to questions regarding the comedian's condition.

However, Peter Haigney, spokesman for hospital, confirmed to CNN that four patients were brought there for treatment. Of the four people, three are in critical condition.

The spokesman also said that a patient by the name of Tracy Morgan was critical, although the hospital declined to confirm if it was indeed the actor, citing privacy reasons.

A staple at "Saturday Night Live" for seven years, the actor's fame skyrocketed with the success of "30 Rock" where he plays Tracy Jordan after leaving the comedy sketch show in 2003.
