Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly broke up with girlfriend Alyssa Miller earlier this year and looks like a few sightings of him and Rachel McAdams are sparking romance rumors!

"Things were really good between Jake and Alyssa right up until he had to leave for L.A. to go shoot a movie [Nightcrawler] in the fall, then the distance just really got to them," said a source close to the couple to E!Online.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams were spotted heading into Madison Square Garden together to watch the Miguel Cotto vs.Sergio Martinez fight this past weekend on Saturday June 7 in New York City.

The stars were attending the boxing match to prepare for their movie 'Southpaw.' In 'Southpaw,' Gyllenhaal plays a boxer who fights his way to the top, only at the sacrifice of his personal life.

The 'End of Watch' star and McAdams were also spotted together last week having dinner in Pittsburgh, where 'Southpaw' will go into production shortly.

The 'Southpaw' costars went to Meat and Potatoes in Pittsburgh for dinner. Gyllenhaal wore black track pants and a white jersey while McAdams wore a dark green jacket. A source tells E! News the two "loved everything" they ate. "They actually finished everything!"

So are the Gyllenhaal and McAdams dating? Despite clearly enjoying their dinner date together, a source tells E! News there is nothing romantic going on between them. They're friends and co-stars.

Gyllenhaal is also in talks to star in "The Dallas Buyers Club" director Jean-Marc Vallee's next movie, "Demolition" which "tells the story of an investment banker struggling to understand his emotional disconnect after the tragic death of his wife. He begins to tear apart his life in a effort to see where he went wrong and is ultimately rescued by a woman he meets in a chance encounter," according to Variety.

Gyllenhaal also recently finished filming the adventure film "Everest" opposite Josh Brolin and Jason Clarke.
